Friday, 8th April 2022- The first meeting for TSCD – Active Dry Fire Protection (“TSCD”) has was held at the Malaysian Fire Protection Association (MFPA) office in Dataran Prima. The which began at 11am was attended by seven members comprising of the chairman Mr. Tony Phuang, the alternate chair Ms Josephine Wong and five members Ms Ang Bee Hong, Mr. Melvin Chang Zhen Feng, Mr. Kelvin Kong, Mr. Peter Ong P.T, Mr. Bryan Lee and Mr Ricky Chan.
The Mr. Tony Phuang warmly welcomed everyone who attended the meeting. He informed the attendees that the meeting was called to plan some activities for the Association. The matters discussed during the meeting were as follows:
1 – Organizing a Tea Talk – on 8th June 2022 and 7th October 2022.
A discussion was held on the structure of the tea-talk and which structure would be most effective.
2 – Organizing Training Program.
Mr Tony Phuang suggested to have a workshop on training members on fire alarm system programming; the modules for the workshop will be based on the training modules that pertain to installation, design and sitting smoke/heat detector.
3 – Pertaining to Malaysia Standard (MS 1745)
Jabatan Standard Malaysia Technical Committee Dry is reviewing the standard for the training modules.
4 – Matters affecting to Fire Alarm industries.
The meeting also discussed issues affecting the members who were in the fire alarm industry and steps on how to resolve such matters were proposed.
The chairman Mr. Tony Phuang also sought the support from the members for the website in contributing technological articles and placing advertisements.
