MFPA/FRDM CSR Project in Bintulu, Sarawak

MFPA made another milestone in its Corporate Social Responsibility projects with a joint MFPA/FRDM Outreach Program to the longhouse communities in Bintulu on 8-10 December 2018. The Outreach Program, which was organized by FRDM Kuching witnessed the donation of 200 portable fire extinguishers to the longhouse community of Uma Lahanan, Uma Daro and Belaga and the installation of Self Contain Smoke Detector at the longhouse at Uma Lahanan, Bintulu. 

These portable fire extinguishers and self-contained smoke detectors were generously contributed by Fire Fighters Industry Sdn Bhd, Unique Fire Industry Sdn Bhd, Eversafe Extinguishers Sdn Bhd and Steel Recon Industries Sdn Bhd.

The Outreach Program was witnessed by a MFPA delegation led by the President, Mr. Teh Khay Leong and included Mr. Jeffrey Soo, Deputy President, Steven Ooi, Vice President, Tony Phuang, Hon Treasurer, Tee Siew Chong, Hon Secretary, and Central Committee members Ho Kam Hoong, Steven Ng and Marcus Liew. FRDM delegation was led by Datuk Mohammad Hamdan Bin Haji Wahid, Director General of FRDM Malaysia and YS Edwin Galan Teruki, Director of Fire Safety Division and YS Khirudin bin Drahman, Director of FRDM, Sarawak and other local senior officers. 

Apart from witnessing the handover of the fire extinguishers to the longhouse communities, MFPA delegation also witnessed the official opening of the Bomba Volunteer Hall (Balai Bomba Sukarela) Uma Daro, Sungai Asap and Belaga by Datuk Mohammed Hamdan Bin Haji Wahid, Director General of FRDM Malaysia
